Avoid blood-thinning medications (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E) for 7 days before treatment, if safe to do so. Always consult your GP before stopping any prescribed medication.
Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before treatment — alcohol thins the blood and increases bruising risk.
Arrive with a clean face — no heavy makeup, moisturiser, or sunscreen in the treatment area.
Stay well hydrated in the 24 hours before your appointment.
Let us know about any recent dental work, illness, cold sores, or skin infections near the treatment area.
After your treatment
Do not lie down flat for 4 hours after treatment. Stay upright to prevent product migration.
Do not exercise, do hot yoga, use saunas, or steam rooms for 24 hours. Heat increases blood flow and can disperse the product.
Do not rub, massage, or apply pressure to the treated areas for 24 hours.
Avoid facials, face-down massage, or any skin treatments for 2 weeks.
Avoid saunas and steam rooms for 48 hours.
Mild redness and small bumps at injection sites are normal and resolve within a few hours.
Light bruising is possible and may take 3–7 days to fade. Arnica gel can help.
Your results timeline
First signs of movement reduction appear. The treated muscles begin to relax.
Full results visible. This is when we assess your outcome and can arrange a top-up if needed.
Results typically last 3–4 months. Menopausal skin may metabolise Botox slightly faster due to reduced skin thickness — your physician will advise.
