Filler can sometimes support proportion, definition or volume; it cannot stop aging, tighten every area or treat a medical skin condition. Some hyaluronic-acid filler may be dissolved when clinically appropriate, but dissolving is itself a medical treatment with limitations and risks. Unintended injection into or compression of a blood vessel can restrict blood supply. This is uncommon but can injure skin and, in rare circumstances, affect vision or cause neurological harm. Increasing pain, blanching, grey or mottled skin, unusual coolness, or any visual change after filler requires immediate assessment using the urgent instructions provided by the treating clinic.
