Menopausal skin tends to be thinner and less elastic, which means it can sometimes show results differently than younger skin. We account for this by adjusting technique and dosing — our physician-led approach means you get a personalised plan, not a one-size-fits-all treatment.

Typically 3–4 months for first-time patients. With regular treatments, many patients find results last longer as the muscles relax more easily over time.

Very minimal. Some patients experience minor redness or tiny bumps at injection sites that resolve within an hour. We recommend avoiding strenuous exercise and lying flat for 4 hours post-treatment.

Absolutely. Many of our patients combine Botox with skin rejuvenation or hormone skin therapy for comprehensive results. We will guide you on the best sequencing and timing during your consultation.

Pre-treatment: avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, and other blood thinners for one week (unless medically necessary), and alcohol for 24 hours. Come with clean skin and no makeup. Post-treatment: avoid rubbing or massaging the treated area, remain upright for four hours, avoid strenuous exercise and heat (saunas, hot yoga) for 24 hours, and skip facials or skin treatments for two weeks.

The number of units depends on the treatment area, your muscle strength, and your goals. A single area (such as forehead lines) typically requires 10–20 units; treating three areas commonly uses 30–50 units. Menopausal patients sometimes require slightly fewer units due to changes in muscle mass. Your physician will assess exactly at consultation — the unit guide on this page gives a starting reference.

Most patients describe Botox injections as minimal discomfort — a brief pinching sensation at each injection site. We use ultra-fine needles and a careful technique to minimise any discomfort. Topical numbing cream is available if you prefer.

At London & Glow, Botox is priced at $13 per unit — so you only pay for exactly what you need. A forehead treatment typically uses 10–20 units ($130–$260); treating the full upper face (3 areas) commonly uses 35–60 units ($455–$780). Your $50 consultation deposit is applied to your treatment. Final cost is determined by the number of units your physician recommends for your specific treatment goals.
