What it is

No two women experience menopause the same way, and no two women's skin tells the same story. Hormone Skin Therapy is our most personalised offering — a bespoke consultation-led programme that integrates your hormonal profile, current symptoms, and skin concerns into a truly individualised treatment plan. Whether you are navigating perimenopause, managing post-menopausal skin, or supporting skin health alongside HRT, this programme creates a roadmap that evolves with you. We draw on a range of advanced modalities — topical actives, in-clinic procedures, and lifestyle guidance — all calibrated to the specific phase of your hormonal journey.

How hormones shape this treatment

Hormonal fluctuations throughout perimenopause and beyond create a constantly shifting skin landscape. Oestrogen, progesterone, and androgens all influence skin thickness, hydration, sebaceous activity, and wound healing. Our Hormone Skin Therapy programme is designed to track these shifts and adjust your treatment plan accordingly — providing skin support that is as dynamic as your hormones themselves.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not at all. This programme is designed for women at any point in their hormonal journey — whether you are on HRT, considering it, or managing menopause without it. The skin strategies we use are effective regardless of your HRT status.

The fundamental difference is physician oversight and hormonal context. We look at your skin through the lens of your endocrine health, not just surface-level concerns. This means the treatments and products we recommend are selected for how they interact with hormonally changing skin biology.

Yes. Perimenopausal acne is driven by shifting androgen ratios as oestrogen declines. We address this with specific topical strategies, in-clinic treatments, and where appropriate, referral to your GP to discuss systemic options.

We encourage you to reach out between sessions if your skin changes noticeably — which is common during perimenopause. We offer brief check-in calls or messages to adjust your home-care protocol without waiting for your next appointment.

Absolutely — and this is actually the ideal time to start. Early perimenopause is when proactive skin support has the greatest long-term impact. We will help you understand what your skin is going through and get ahead of the changes with a thoughtful, sustainable plan.

Please bring a list of your current medications (including HRT if applicable), any skincare products you currently use, and notes on skin changes you have noticed during your hormonal journey. If you have had previous aesthetic treatments, please note when and where these took place. Aftercare guidance will be specific to whatever in-clinic procedures are performed and will be explained in full at your appointment.

Polynucleotides (also called PDRN — polydeoxyribonucleotide) are fragments of purified DNA derived from salmon or trout. When injected into the skin, they stimulate fibroblast activity, directly increasing collagen and elastin synthesis. They also have anti-inflammatory properties that make them particularly suitable for hormonally sensitised menopausal skin. Results build gradually over 4–8 weeks as genuine tissue regeneration occurs.

Skin boosters are micro-injections of stabilised hyaluronic acid delivered into the dermis — not to add visible volume, but to restore the deep moisture matrix that oestrogen decline removes. Unlike surface moisturisers, skin boosters work from within the skin's structure, improving hydration, elasticity, and overall skin quality. The results are subtle luminosity and improved texture rather than a volumised look.

Menopausal skin loses both collagen (due to reduced fibroblast activity) and hyaluronic acid (due to reduced oestrogen-stimulated synthesis). Polynucleotides directly address the collagen side by reactivating fibroblasts. Skin boosters address the hydration and moisture-retention side by replenishing dermal HA. Together, they target two of the most significant structural changes of menopause — making them a cornerstone of our Hormone Skin Therapy approach.
